10th Annual Mercy & Unity Hospitals Foundation Golf Classic

The Refuge Golf Club

The Golf Classic is an annual golf event that fills up fast and should not be missed. Making the four-person scramble wildly successful and extra fun are all of the side games and activities occurring on the course. Funds from this year's event will benefit the Faith Community Nurse program, and Sexual Assault care services at Mercy and Unity hospitals. 3M Championship Senior PGA Tournament

August 2-8, 2010
TPC of the Twin Cities

Come out and watch the legends at this two-day event. The 3M Championship will again feature the Greats of Golf Challenge. This tournament-within-a-tournament, featuring nine of the world’s most elite golf legends, is held the final two days of the regular tournament.

The 2009 tournament netted approximately $1.3 million in donations. The Mercy & Unity Hospitals Foundation portion of the proceeds benefits the Emergency Departments at both Hospitals. This includes the expansion and renovation at Unity Hospital in Fridley and the special furnishings and entertainment systems to create a healing environment for children at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.

Join us in September for a four-person scramble golf tournament; prizes are abundant and players of all abilities are welcome. Proceeds for this tremendously successful event will benefit the comprehensive cancer care programs at Mercy and Unity hospitals, with special emphasis on providing comfort and healing to cancer patients and their families.

6th Annual Lynnda Laubach Breast Cancer Awareness Ride

September 25, 2010
Zylstra Harley Davidson & Buell, Elk River

Bikers, get out and ride, raise money for breast cancer patients and survivors. Proceeds from the annual Laubach Breast Cancer motorcycle ride benefit the Cancer Resource Centers at Unity and Mercy hospitals. The Centers provide information and support to individuals, family members and providers who are concerned about cancer.

This event features a pig roast and chance to win a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Riders of all experience are welcome, visit TheBreastCancerRide.org for more information.

2nd Annual Pheasant hunt

The inaugural 2009 Hunt was a terrific success with over 40 hunters (and quite a few dogs) participating in an exciting shooting event at the Wild Wings of Oneka hunting club on October 6, 2009. Nearly $6,000 was raised to benefit the cancer care programs at Mercy and Unity Hospitals. A special thank you to our many corporate sponsors. Toys for Joy/Christmas at SACA

Employees and friends of Mercy & Unity Hospitals brighten someone's holiday by giving to Toys for Joy and Christmas at Southern Anoka Community Assistance (SACA). Every November and December, drop boxes throughout the hospitals collect non-perishable food, hats, mittens and toys for those local programs. Cash donations are also accepted.

2010 Crystal Ball: A Night of Stars

The 2010 Crystal Ball was held at the Courtyards of Andover Saturday, April 10. The awards show-themed event raised more than $240,000 to support the Family Birth Centers and other Women's and Children's programs and services at Mercy and Unity hospitals. A special thank you to the more than 500 attendees and the many sponsors, employees and volunteers who made this event possible.
